It is the one night of the year when popular culture encourages small children to actually seek sweets from the strangers they're encouraged to avoid. Hallo.

One of my previous films on my list was House of 1000 Corpses and I discussed people constantly comparing it to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in reality The Stranger.

'Ils' was rather intense in the way it just ended as many foreign horror films do, where 'The Strangers' took me by surprise in that I was gripped all the way through, and I even forgot that was Liv Tyler being attacked and brutalized.

They can write a novel about a literary biographer who's a creep, as did Henry James with The Aspern Papers, Philip Roth with Exit Ghost, and now acclaimed.
