Tornadoes Skip Across Nation's Midsection

Tornado that raked southeast Wichita rated EF3. The National Weather Service has rated the tornado that tore through Oaklawn and southeast Wichita Saturday night as an EF3, with maximum winds of 165 miles an hour.

Due to the recent tornado activity in the Wichita area, the Kansas Humane Society is working in collaboration with Wichita Animal Services and Sedgwick County Animal Response Team to provide care and shelter for the city's displaced pets.
